On summer plans

This time of the year has finally arrived. The school is over. The summer has officially started.
It is the second summer I will spend living the meaningful life of an Orthodox Christian.
My belief hasn't wined, on the contrary it has become deeper and more stable. My icon corner has become the place I run to for comfort and advice.
Many times I fail to do so and I  quickly feel so out of balance that I willingly return to my safe place and pray.

Today I baked prosforo~the special bread we offer for the Divine Liturgy.
It was not a very good prosforo  but the best I can make at the moment.

I have no big plans for this summer. The kind of ...each day will take care of itself. I will try to be humble and let Him drive my steps

  3. So glad to see you posting again and sharing lovely photos! Your prosforo looks beautiful, I think! :) Think this is a beautiful ritual, and I often with the Roman Rite kept it. ;) I bake bread often for the weekend as part of my own Sabbath ritual, though and it has come to be something that fills my heart with much joy and closeness to God while I bake. A summer placing one's self in God's hand--that is a the best summer plan! :))) God Bless you and yours!
